These shutters are Secured By Design which is the Police and Insurance preferred specifications, so may reduce your premiums!! 1. What level of security rating do the shutters have? Are they certified to meet specific security standards, such as LPS 1175 or Secured by Design?

The security rated shutters are tested to LPS1175 Security Rating levels 1-4. These are independently attack-tested, using certain equipment over a set amount of time. The more high-powered the tools and the longer the attack time, the higher the security rating. All LPS1175 Security Rated products are Secured By Design, which is the police and insurance preferred specification.

2. What materials are the shutters made of? Are they constructed from high-strength materials such as steel or aluminum?

Roller shutters are manufactured from Steel or Aluminium.

• Steel Shutters - These tend to be more cost-effective and go up to very large sizes.
• Aluminium Shutters - These usually are stronger as the slats are extruded (Twin Walled), guides and box sizes are smaller and aluminium doesn't rust

3. How are the shutters installed? Are they installed in a way that prevents unauthorized removal or tampering?

Security Rated Roller shutters can be installed internally or externally. It is normally more secure to fit security shutters internally, as they are less accessible to attack. Most fixings are hidden when the roller shutter is in the down position. On all security-rated roller shutters, any accessible fixings must be anti tamper or the fixings spoiled to prevent removal.

4. Can the shutters be customized to fit specific openings or requirements?

Yes, commercial roller shutters are custom-made to suit your openings and requirements. You have a large choice of solid or vision slats, controls and colours.

5. Are there any additional features or options available, such as remote control operation, alarm systems, or fire resistance?

Most electric roller shutters have the option of different controls, including Remote Control, Access Control, Keypads and Phone App Controls. The security rated commercial roller shutters can be connected into the alarm system, so if they are attached they can trigger the intruder alarm system. Security Rated roller shutters are not Fire Rated Roller Shutters and don't provide any fire resistance.
