The RA6 Wide Span Aluminium Roller Shutter secures openings too wide for a compact shutter, up to 6000mm wide and 5000mm high. Its 55mm twin-walled extruded laths and heavier guides suit wide shopfronts, showrooms, commercial units and wide domestic openings such as patio doors. Every shutter is made to measure.

For openings up to 4000mm wide, see our Compact Aluminium Roller Shutter, which has a smaller box. Securing windows? See our Aluminium Window Shutters. Need insulation as well? See our Insulated Aluminium Roller Shutter.

Product Overview

One shutter across a wide opening: spans up to 6m, so a wide shopfront or doorway can be secured in one.
A stiffer curtain: 55mm twin-walled laths are made for wider spans.
Strong at the bottom: an AEG/X bottom lath with a reinforcing handle.
A finish that lasts: polyester powder coating is tough, flexible and protects against corrosion.

Delivery & Installation

Supply only: Manufactured in 7–10 working days in a standard colour, or about 5 weeks in a custom colour.

Supply and installation: Up to 3–4 weeks. We survey the opening to confirm sizes and guide choice, then manufacture and book your fitting date. Wide shutters are heavy and awkward to handle, so we recommend professional installation.

Pricing & Budget Guide

Prices from £337 (supply only) Every RA6 is made to measure, so there's no one-size price. Your price depends on width, height, guides, operation, colour and installation.

What affects your price

Width and height: wider spans need more laths, a bigger box and heavier guides.
Guide rails: UPH140, UPH240 or UPH250, depending on the box size.
Operation: manual is the lowest cost. Electric adds a motor, and a Somfy RTS or io remote adds a little more.
Colour: the four standard colours cost less than a custom RAL or BS colour.
Installation: access equipment, working height and the structure around the opening.
