Following the successful completion of the work, the new security measures provided Rolls-Royce with practical solutions tailored to the different requirements across its Derby site.
The Perforated Steel Roller Shutter provided a secure and practical way to close off the staff canteen's food preparation area, while the 2m-high Trackless Retractable Barriers gave the site greater flexibility when restricting access to designated factory areas and open loading bays.
I was personally involved in the project, working with Rolls-Royce to understand the challenges they were experiencing on site and helping to identify suitable Security Direct products for each application. It was particularly rewarding to see the different solutions successfully implemented within such a prestigious and highly secure manufacturing environment.
The completed project demonstrates how selecting security products around the specific operational requirements of each area can provide effective protection without unnecessarily restricting the day-to-day operation of a busy industrial site.

Yes. In this project, 2m-high Trackless Retractable Barriers were used across loading bays to help prevent unauthorised personnel entering through the openings while the main loading bay doors were open.
