Servery Fire Shutter - Rigid Structure
Starting Price (Based on 1000mm x 1000mm)
The Servery Fire Shutter for Rigid Structures is a fully certified fire protection system designed for installation into masonry and fire protected structural steel openings, providing a robust solution for high performance fire compartmentation. Tested in accordance with BS EN 1634-1 and classified under EN 13501-2, this system achieves fire resistance ratings of E60, E90, and E120 (integrity). It is further supported by BS EN 15269-10 for extended application and is CE marked to BS EN 16034, ensuring compliance with UK and European fire safety standards. Designed specifically for servery openings, the system has been tested as a complete assembly, including substrate and cill requirements, to meet strict Building Control expectations.
This shutter is suitable for rigid supporting constructions, including concrete and masonry (minimum density 1600kg/mΒ³ and 102.5mm thick), as well as protected structural steel frameworks. For steel installations, the structure must meet a section factor (A/V) of less than 230 mβ»ΒΉ, using a minimum 60mm x 120mm x 5mm RHS box section, and must be fully fire protected on all four sides to the required rating using either passive fire systems (EN 13381-4) or reactive intumescent coatings (EN 13381-8). The shutter must also close onto an A1 non-combustible substrate (EN 13501), ensuring full system integrity during a fire event. These strict substrate requirements are essential to achieving the certified fire performance.
The system is available with two motor options to suit a wide range of opening sizes. Tubular motor fire shutters, typically used for smaller openings, are suitable up to approximately 4m wide and 2m high (subject to configuration) and include features such as battery backup, manual override, fire alarm relay, and audio-visual warning. For larger openings, industrial motor fire shutters are available up to 6.75m wide and 2.4m high (subject to configuration), incorporating a fusible link, solenoid release, audio-visual warning system, and chain override. Together, these options provide a highly adaptable, compliant, and reliable fire shutter solution for rigid structural environments where certified fire protection is critical.
