The Stack Door is a new type of shutter as it Stacks Vertically, rather than coiling around a barrel. The advantage of this Stack Door is that it can cover large openings, can go around curves and corners. It's made up of Horizontal Bars and vertical pins. The chain drives on each side of the shutter, lift up the curtain and it stacks vertically at the top. The advantage of this is it can be fitted around corners, shaped to go around objects, limited headroom is required and it go up to 6240m wide. The curtain provides 80% air flow/vision, whilst being a high-security product.
Independently Tested by the LPCB to LPS1175 Security Rating Level 1 - Certified for Installation Internal and Externally. This is a Secured By Design product, which is a Police and Insurance preferred specification.
The Stack Door is only available Electrically operated. It can be operated using a Single Phase Tube Motor with a Toggle or Key Switch. For larger openings, we can use a Single or 3 Phase Direct Drive motor with a push button station. Both tubular & outboard motors have numerous control option variants such as group, remote or mobile phone activation.
The curtain is manufactured from Stainless as standard. The Box and Guides come as standard in Galvanised finish. The shutter can be Powder Coated any BS or RAL colour to match your colour scheme.
Curtain
Stainless or zinc plated steel pins secured into horizontal stainless, zinc plated or powder coated profiles.
Bottom Slat
Galvanised steel ’T’ shaped bottom rail is provided as standard. The option of an “L” is available when face fixing or need to miss a door handle on one side of the opening. Both the “T” rail and “L” Rail are available with a Rubber Bottom Seal and Safety Edge at an additional cost
Shutter Box
Galvanised steel casing & end plates as standard. For external installation or for covering up the roller shutter mechanism, there is the optional fascia and hood at an extra cost. Galvanised finish as standard, powder coating available at an additional cost.
Guide Rails
Reinforced extruded aluminium guide rails anchored direct into the structure. On larger opening there may be double guides on each side. Each guide rail has a chain drive built into the guides, which is attached to the axle.
Colours
The standard finish is Galvanised finish. It can be powder coated any BS or RAL colour.
