Security Features

•    Medium to high security rating, ideal for residential and light commercial use.
  • Laths available in Solid, Perforated (18% vision), and Punched (44% vision) with optional polycarbonate inserts for added protection.
  • Locking mechanisms vary by operation type:
•     Manual spring-loaded versions include a central bottom lath lock with key.
•     Optional bullet locks can be added to guide rails for enhanced resistance.
•     Electric versions feature locking spring mechanisms inside the shutter barrel.
• Reinforced die-cast aluminium end plates and H30 extruded aluminium guide rails (with integral reinforcement box section) as standard.
• Optional H40S heavy-duty guide rails available for increased resistance to forced entry.
   

Safety Features

•    Manual override options available on electric models to allow use during power failure.
• All electric motors are sealed inside the barrel, offering protection from dust and weather.
• High-density brush seals within the guide rails promote smooth, quiet operation and help prevent finger trapping.

Insulation & Energy Efficiency

•  Lightweight yet insulating twin-walled extruded aluminium laths (solid version).
• Brush seals in guide rails aid draught reduction and thermal retention.
• Weight of 8kg/m² provides balance between thermal efficiency and ease of use.
• Perforated and punched lath variants allow ventilation or visual access while maintaining some energy efficiency.
   

Operation & Controls

Manual Options:

•  Swivel Belt Winder (up to 15kg): Internal belt pulley system for external shutters.
• Geared Belt Winder (15–25kg): Crank-handle mechanism for ease of use.
• Rod Crank: Geared crank handle suitable for internal operation of external shutters.
• Spring Loaded: Ideal for serveries/doorways; easily hand-operated with internal key locking.

Electric Options:

•  Minimum width: 750mm.
• Features single-phase tubular motors protected inside the barrel.
• Control options include internal rocker switch, security key switch, or remote control.
• Electric shutters can be operated individually or in groups.
• Manual override systems available for use during power failure.
   

Installation & Warranty

•  Made-to-measure sizing ensures perfect fit for various openings.
• Suitable for reveal or face fix mounting depending on application.
• Box sizes:
  •     165mm for openings up to 1699mm
  •     180mm for up to 2099mm
  •     205mm for up to 2899mm
  •     250mm for up to 4000mm
• Aluminium construction ensures lightweight yet durable installation.
   

Lead Time & Common Applications

•   Standard lead time: 10-15 working days (subject to change).
• Popular in domestic windows and doors, bars, kitchen serveries, and retail shopfronts.
• Maximum width (solid): 4000mm, maximum height (manual: 2800mm; electric: 4000mm).

Design & Customisation

The standard colours for our Compact Aluminium Roller Shutters are White (RAL 9016), Cream (RAL 1015), Brown (RAL 8014), and Black (RAL 9005).

We also offer powder coating in a wider range of colours, categorised as follows:

   Band A – Popular colours we regularly stock. These incur a small additional cost.

   Band B – Less common colours we may have in stock. These come with a slightly higher additional cost.

   Band C – Special order colours not typically stocked but available quickly without affecting lead times. These colours are priced at a premium.

In addition, we can powder coat shutters in any BS or RAL colour. These are quoted on a Price Per Application basis and may extend lead times slightly.
