The Industrial Fire Shutters are designed for larger openings (up to 12m wide) and are tested to stop the spread of fire from 1-4 hours. The industrial fire shutters use Single (240V) or 3 Phase (415V) Inline Industrial Motors, which allows shutters up to 7m wide. The Industrial Fire Shutters are supplied with a Fusible Link, which melts at 67 degrees and will automatically close the shutter. It also comes with a Solenoid Release, which allows the shutter to be connected to the fire alarm. The industrial fire shutters can also be fitted in locations where there is no power, as it can still close on the fusible link in a fire situation. The Industrial Fire Shutters, have the motor bolted onto the front of the shutter, which make the big and bulky, so not ideal for small openings. The shutters have been independently tested and certified by Exova to Fire Standards BS476 and BS EN 1634.
The Industrial Fire Shutters are only available electrically operated. Single phase inline chain driven motor (three phase option available) with push button control, chain override, fusible link and solenoid release as standard. All shutters can be connected to a fire alarm via an interface panel so they automatically descend in the event of an alarm signal.
The Industrial Fire Shutters come as standard in Galvanised finish. They can be Powder Coated any BS or RAL colour to match your colour scheme.
CURTAIN SLAT
A standard the Compact Fire Shutter is supplied with a Single skin 76mm (3'') curved steel slat. Wall thickness 0.7mm,0.9mm, or 1.2mm, depending on fire rating and size of the opening.
SHUTTER BOX
Galvanised steel casing & end plates as standard. Galvanised finish as standard, powder coating available at an additional cost
BOTTOM RAIL
Galvanised steel ’T’ shaped bottom rail is provided as standard.
GUIDE CHANNELS
Galvanised steel “U” channel guides. The guide size varies dependent on application/size, either 65mm, 75mm or 100mm. Galvanised finish as standard.
OPERATION
The Industrial Fire Shutters are only available with a Single Phase and 3 Phase Industrial
Motors, with chain override. As standard they come with a Solenoid Release (Fire Alarm) and Fusible Link. The fire shutter can be supplied with a basic switch, to open
and close the shutter.
