The RA9 Aluminium Roller Grille is a modern version of the old fashioned Tube & Link style shutter. The RA9 provides the same amount of vision, provides a higher level of security and is a lot more cost effective than the Tube & Link Shutters. The RA9 Aluminium Roller is only suitable for Internal use. The RA9 comes with a standard spacing of 150mm x 70mm. For added security and preventing hand getting through the curtain, there is the option of a closer spacing of 75mm x 70mm.
The Aluminium Roller Grille is available Manual Operation with Spring and Lock. Why not automate the shutter, to make daily operation easier and you can incorporate the your shutters into a fully automation system, including Timers, Remote Control Systems and Home Hubs eg; Alexa.
The RA9 Aluminium Roller Grille curtain comes in Anodised Silver as standard, but can be powder coated at an additional cost. The Box and Guides come as standard in White, Brown, Black or Cream . The shutter can be Powder Coated any BS or RAL colour to match your colour scheme.
Curtain
The Aluminium Roller Grille is constructed from a combination of extruded aluminium links and hinge section. Link spacing is 150 mm in line as standard, however a brick bond pattern (no surcharge), 75 mm spacing (surcharge) and solid slat profile (surcharge) are also available.
Bottom Slat
Extruded aluminium with reinforcing angle and no seal.
Shutter Box
Die cast aluminium end plates with two piece roll formed aluminium box. Larger sizes (shutters with a curtain weight of approx. 75 kg upwards) will be supplied
with zinc plated steel end plates.
Guide Rails
Extruded aluminium with box section for fixing / reinforcement and high density 4 mm or 7 mm pile brush seals. UPH140 guides supplied with 205 mm box, UPH240 guides supplied with 250 and 300 mm box. UPH250 recommended on wider shutters and for shutters requiring higher security with 250 or 300 mm box.
Colours
The standard colours for our Roller Grille Shutters are White (RAL 9016), Cream (RAL 1015), Brown (RAL 8014), and Black (RAL 9005) for the Box and Guide Rails. The Curtain is finished as standard in Anodised Silver.
We also offer powder coating in a wider range of colours, categorised as follows:
Band A – Popular colours we regularly stock. These incur a small additional cost.
Band B – Less common colours we may have in stock. These come with a slightly higher additional cost.
Band C – Special order colours not typically stocked but available quickly without affecting lead times. These colours are priced at a premium.
In addition, we can powder coat shutters in any BS or RAL colour. These are quoted on a Price Per Application basis and may extend lead times slightly.
