Door Hardware Federation Member - Unfortunately, like most industries, there are companies supplying and installing products that are not safe. By becoming a member of the DHF we can work with the DHF to maintain and improve high standards in the industry. Our customers can have that peace of mind that we are working to the highest standards in the industry.
DHF is a not-for-profit trade association for companies associated with Locks & Building Hardware; Doorsets; Industrial Doors & Shutters; Domestic Garage Doors and Automated Gates. Originally formed in 1897, dhf has over 500 members and is the ‘go to’ place for technical advice and training which lends itself to raising the standards of the industry. We are regarded as the ‘Centre of Excellence’, with a network of professional staff members as well as external consultants that can provide support in all sectors, making us a single source for technical expertise, information, knowledge, advice, and practical help.
As a federation, we support our various industry sectors by representing them on BSI standards committees, liaising with compliance authorities such as the Health and Safety Executive and Trading Standards as well as fire safety organisations across the UK and Europe.

NBS Specification - To assist architects in the specification of products we can provide NBS specifications on request.
Health and Safety -
Security Direct work in partnership with Main Contractors in fulfilling
CDM regulations and documentation required with the use of;
Accreditation's - Security Direct are accredited to save contractors time and resources in the assessment of safety, working policies and PQR's.
CE Marking
- To comply with the Machinery Directive both the product and the
Installation must have a Deceleration of Performance/Conformity. The
Declaration of Performance is to prove that the product is manufactured
to meet British and EU safety requirements. The Deceleration of
Conformity is to prove that the product has been installed correctly and
safely. With both of these Declarations you can ensure that product is
manufactured and installed safety and ensure peace of mind. If any of
the above requirements are not fulfilled the installation is illegal!!
Pricing - We aim to provide Contractors with very competitive prices to ensure they win jobs and provide value to your clients. Whilst we remain very cost effective, we don't compromise on Quality as we strongly believe this is false economy. Supply Only - We can supply any of our products on a
Supply Only basis for the Contractor to fit themselves. This can ensure
a quicker turnaround and cost savings. We will help you from the start
by guiding you through measuring for the product, we can then do
drawings for you to double check to ensure that its correct. All our
sales team have installation experience so will be able to provide any
guidance over the phone when trying to install the product.
Installation - We have a teams of our own fitters through out the country, that are fully trained in fitting our products. We ensure that the products are fitted securely, the security product is only as secure as the fixings. We also ensure that our fitters are professional, courteous and tidy up after themselves.
