LPS1175 Level 2 security rated roller shutters are a step up from entry-level shutters, providing a higher level of security protection. These shutters are tested and certified to meet the standards set by the Loss Prevention Certification Board (LPCB), an independent certification body that evaluates security products according to their resistance to forced entry. LPS1175 Level 2 shutters are designed to withstand attacks by hand-held tools such as bolt cutters, crowbars, and drills for a minimum of 3 minutes. They are typically made of steel or aluminum, with a range of finishes and colors available to match the design and aesthetic of the building. LPS1175 Level 2 shutters are suitable for a range of applications, including banks, data centers, and high-value retail stores. Regular maintenance and inspections are essential to ensure that LPS1175 Level 2 shutters are functioning properly and providing the necessary level of protection.
These Roller Shutters have been independently tested by the LPCB to LPS1175 Security Level 2 (Issue 7) or Category B (Issue 8). Security Level 2 is designed to provide defence against a "Determined opportunist attack using bodily force and tools with high mechanical advantage".
The Shutters are attacked with a variety of hand tools for a maximum of 15 minutes. If entry through the door is not gained within the 15 minutes, it then receives the LPS 1175 Issue 7 Level SR2 rating.
