The FC8 fire curtain is a state-of-the-art solution for fire protection, designed and tested to meet the rigorous BS 8524-1 standard for active fire curtain barrier assemblies. It provides up to 3 hours of fire resistance and is suitable for various commercial and industrial applications. The product has also been tested to BSEN 1634-1 for fire resistance and BSEN 1634-3 for smoke control, making it ideal for integration in both fire and smoke compartmentation systems. The curtain features an advanced smoke seal for additional protection against smoke infiltration.
The Fire and Smoke curtain requires a solid substrate, such as steel, concrete, or masonry, to properly anchor the headbox, side guides, and bottom bar. The substrate must be level and structurally capable of supporting the load of the fire curtain assembly.
The Fire Curtains are only available with a Single Phase Tube Motor. The fire curtain is supplied as standard with a control panel which includes the Fire Alarm Relay, Staged Decent and Battery Backup. A switch can be fitted to the fire curtain to reset it after a fire activation. There is also the option of an emergency release button, in case someone gets trapped behind a closed fire curtain.
The Fire Curtain comes as standard in a Grey Kevlar finish. The Box and Guides are Powder Coated White as standard. The Box and Guides can be Powder Coated any BS or RAL colour to match your colour scheme.
The FC8 Fire and Smoke curtain is CE marked and tested to BS 8524-1, ensuring compliance with the latest industry regulations for fire curtain assemblies. Its smoke control capability adds another layer of safety. The curtain's flexible design allows for large-scale applications, and its integration with standard building management systems ensures ease of operation.
For optimal installation, the FC8 Fire and Smoke curtain requires a solid substrate, such as steel, concrete, or masonry, to properly anchor the headbox, side guides, and bottom bar. The substrate must be level and structurally capable of supporting the load of the fire curtain assembly.
