Why choose the Fire and Smoke Curtain?

Flexible, Multi-Zone Fire and Smoke Protection for Complex Commercial Spaces

The FC2-S Fire and Smoke Curtain is a versatile, high-performance solution designed to provide automatic containment of fire and smoke in buildings where traditional fire doors or shutters are not practical. Certified to EN and BS standards, the FC2-S deploys rapidly in the event of a fire, forming an effective barrier to help control smoke movement, protect escape routes, and support passive fire protection strategies.

It is ideal for modern buildings that feature open atriums, stairwells, corridors, shopping centres, airports, and transport hubs, where compartmentation, compliance, and life safety are a top priority.

Fire Resistance Up to 180 Minutes – EN and BS Certified

  •    Certified to BS EN 1634-1 and BS EN 12101-1, the FC2-S offers up to 180 minutes of fire resistance
  •   Delivers both thermal insulation and smoke control, allowing safe evacuation and fire service access
  •   Fully tested to BS EN 13501-2, achieving integrity classification E180, EW60, and radiation control

Smoke Sealing for Safer Evacuation

  •    Equipped with a smoke-resistant fabric and bottom bar sealing system
  •   Minimises smoke leakage to protect means of escape and critical zones during a fire event
  •   Meets performance classification per BS EN 1634-3 and EN 12101-1, ensuring regulatory compliance in smoke containment strategies

Automatic Deployment with Fail-Safe Operation

  •    Stored discreetly in a compact headbox and deploys automatically via gravity in fire conditions
  •   Activated by fire alarm system or local detectors, with optional control panel integration
  •   Battery backup ensures closure during power failure, ensuring reliability in all scenarios

Custom Sizes & Discreet Installation

  •    Available in bespoke widths and drops to suit any application
  •   Designed to blend into the building structure—ideal for minimal-impact installations
  •   Can be concealed in ceilings or wall voids for seamless integration into modern designs
