High Usage Industrial Roller Shutter Doors
Why choose the High Usage Industrial Roller Shutter Doors?
The High Usage Industrial Roller Shutters are the most popular shutters for industrial and loading bay applications, which requires high usage. It's one of the most versatile and cost effective types of the roller shutter and goes up to 7m wide and 7m high. The 75mm curved steel laths, are available in 22G (0.7mm), 20G (0.9mm) and 18G (1.2mm), depending on the size of the roller shutter and the security level required.
The High Usage Industrial Steel Roller Shutter Doors are powered using the GFA High Usage Direct Drive motor. We offer a 2 year warranty on the GFA motors and controls. The direct-drive motor bolts onto the outside of the endplate, direct to the axle assembly, which is more reliable than the inboard motors. These GFA motors will provide a maximum of 30 movements per hour. The motors are only available in 3 phase (415V). The motor limits are digital and can be adjusted at low level on the control panel. We also have a large of controls and sensors for example Radar Sensors for Fork Lift Traffic, Traffic Lights and Safety devices.
If you don't require this amount of operations per hour, then look at the Direct Drive Industrial Roller Shutter Doors. If you are looking for a Roller Shutter which is more cost effective and is only going to be used a few times per day, then please look at the Commercial Metal Shutters. If you need to fit the industrial shutter within a recess, then look at the Inboard Industrial Roller Shutter Doors. If you don't have any power on site, then look at the Manual Chain Operated Doors.

The Industrial Steel roller shutters, are ideal for use in industrial warehouses and come in Galvanised Finish as standard. The shutters can be Powder Coated any BS or RAL colour to match your colour scheme.
SLATS SPECIFICATION
Description
The standard Galvanised Steel Laths are 75mm high, curved single skin laths. The laths are available in different thicknesses depending on the size of the shutter and the security required - 22G (0.7mm), 20G (0.9mm) and 18G (1.2mm).
Perforated Laths are available at an additional cost - Provides 18% Vision.
Punched Laths are available at an additional cost - Provides 32% Vision.
At the Bottom of the Curtain you get the Option of a "T" Rail or "L" Rail. "T" Rail comes as standard. You can fit a Rubber Bottom Seal or Safety Edge to the bottom of the "L" and "T" Rail, at an extra cost.
The Industrial Steel Roller Shutters are available with a Wicket Door. This is a door that is built into the Shutter Curtain. This is a pedestrian door that can be used, instead of opening and closing the shutter. The Wicket Doors are available in Two Sizes and generally inward opening. We recommend that the Wicket Doors are Powder Coated.
BOX SPECIFICATION
Description
Industrial Doors come with a universal steel side end plates. The end plates are pre-drilled for different motors and motor configurations. As standard the shutter does not come with a Shutter Hood or Fascia , this is available at an extra cost if required.
Box Sizes
This varies between 350mm - 550mm, dependent on the width of the opening, please contact us for the exact clear opening height for the particular width of shutter you require.
GUIDE RAIL SPECIFICATION
Description
Traditional Guides are supplied with galvanised Steel guide angle. The angle can be inset or outset if preferred, this must be clearly stated on your order.
There are two types of Guide Rails - Standard "U" Channel, is provided as standard and comes is different sizes, depending on the size of the shutter.
Wind Lock Lock Guides are available at an extra cost. Ideal when the shutter is fitted is windy locations or for extra security.
OPERATION
INDUSTRIAL MOTOR - Where possible we use the Direct Drive motors that are bolted onto the endplates. The Direct Drive motors are Heavier Duty, more reliable and operate quicker. As standard, all Industrial Motors come with a Chain Override and Push Button Station. The GFA Motors and Control Panels come with a 2 Year Manufacturer's Warranty. We
mainly use GFA motors as they are German made, very reliable and easy
to maintain. We can use Ellard and Link motors if you the customer
prefers. 3 Phase motors are very Heavy Duty, they allow from 10 to 40
operation per hour and they also operate at a higher speed. As standard, the motors come with a Chain Override and Push button station.
We can get a 3 phase motor to suit most requirements, including High
Usage, High Speed and Hazardous Environments.

The standard finish on the Traditional Industrial Steel Roller Shutters is Galvanised.
The Shutter can be Powder Coated one of our Stock Colours below. Depending on the Band A, B or C will depend on the additional cost.
