How many slats do I need?

What is the overall height of the curtain you require? eg; 1000mm
What is the height of the slats? eg; 40mm
Divide the O/A Curtain Height by the Slat Height = Number of Slats. Eg: 1000 / 40 = 25 Slats

What length do I need the slats?

The easiest way is to measure the overall width of the existing curtain, INCLUDING endlocks.
The second option is to measure the width of the curtain, EXCLUDING endlocks.
Measure the Overall Width of the Shutter, including the Guide Rails. Identify the Guide Rail, by measuring the width and depth of the guide channel.

Deductions from Overall Shutter Width

H25 Guide Rail - DEDUCT - 75mm overall

H30 Guide Rail - DEDUCT - 75mm overall

H40 Guide Rail - DEDUCT - 80mm overall

3) The SLAT CUT SIZE = O/A Shutter Width MINUS the Guide Deduction

Bottom Slat

The standard Bottom Slat has the reinforcing foot at the bottom. There is the option of having a Rubber Seal at the bottom (Must be Specified)

If the Roller Shutter is Spring and Lock, a Bottom Lath can be factory fitted into the Bottom rail at an extra cost.

Endlocks

Standard

Fitted two per slat, every other slat. Slats are crimped to hold the end lock in place. For on-site repairs the endlocks can be riveted in place using 4 x 6 rivets.

Windlocks (H40 Guides Only)

Wind endlocks fitted in every gap between the standard endlock for the first four gaps on each side. They are then fitted every fourth endlock gap up to 3/4 of the curtain height. The windlocks are riveted in place using 3.2 x 4mm rivets.

Guide Rails

H25 Extruded Aluminium Guides with an integral box section for reinforcement and to facilitate fixing. High density 5mm pile brush seals for quiet and smooth operation.
